First ski outting of the season!

I went skiing the other day, it was great, I love this sport and it was great for my quads. The thing is is that it is so expensive 50 dollars for the ticket you dont have skis or boots yet! (without speaking of the gas because lets say we are lucky)I was very thankful a guy I know lent me some skis and boots, unfortunatly the boots were way too small so after two times down the slopes I got them changed! The view was great and the air was fresh, I hadn't been skiing last year, well actually I never skied I snowbladed twice. I looked like an outcast on the mountain because I was the only one with jogging pants and a grey coat (soaked in sweat or in snow) I was never cold tough. By days end I was really pooped and didnt get to really enjoy my friend's stagg party! If only I had the budget, I would be there every weekend I am not on the skating rink!
Note that lake Tremblant is not frozen yet !

Aigles Champions du Bol d'or

Shoutout to my buddy Ismael Bamba

I would like to give a shoutout to my buddy Ismael Bamba a true freshman wide receiver and kick-returner at University of North Dakota. His first carrer catch was a 61 yard pickup for a touchdown. Last weekend he returned three kickoffs for 147 yards and leads the Great West Football Conference in yards per kickoff return averaging 49 yars per return. Next week the Fighting Sioux (5-1) will be heading to California to face the UC-Davis Aggies (4-4). Good luck to the Fighting Sioux. If you wish to become a fan of Ismael Bamba on facebook just write his name in the search box. In the near future, I would love to go and see him perform in Grand Forks N.D. maybe next year. Keep up the good work buddy!

By the way the St-Léonard Cougars won the OFC semi-final by the score of 28-14 we have alot of work to do in order to win the next two games.

The playoffs begin in the OFC!

VS
After defeating the Burlington Braves at Nelson Stadium, and finishing first in the Ontario Football Conference, last week we are getting ready to shut down the Hurricanes who beat us once this year. There is less football left now so lets enjoy the last few games to a maximum. Because of the federal elections on tuesday we had limited practice time this week but we put in a basic but effective game plan that should help us send back the Canes to Hamilton with a frown on their faces. The game was supposed to be a 1 pm but because of a shortage of refs it will be at 7 o clock at Stade-Hébert. Our 3-4 defense should help us put on more pressure on Qb Brian Echlin. The Winsor AKO Fratmen are playing the Burlington Braves at Nelson Stadium tonight to decide who will have the privilege to fight for the OFC title next saturday
God bless the playoffs!

7 points too many !

I think this picture speaks for itself. We just have to stay humble and continue winning! Big road game next week in Burlington. Unfortunatly we are presently in second place because we allowed 6 points more than the braves.

WINSOR AKO FRATMEN VS STL COUGARS

VS

On august 17th the cougars where defeated 24-14 by the Winsor AKO Fratmen, the cougars hadn't lost a game inside the conference in more than 4 years. As the weather is getting colder we start seeing who are the real warriors who will claw with their fingernails for an inch (as Al Pacino said) All week I was devestated by the people arriving late and flat at practices but last night at the walk-trough I realised that we can pull it off with the guys we have by sticking togheter, working hard and doing our assignements. We where all so hyped and ready to go to war. And for tonights gave it shouldn't be a problem because the stakes are so high, if we beat them by 10 points we can still finish first. Success will be the best revenge...

BEEFEATERS VS COUGARS

VS

Tonight the london Beefeaters are comming to town. We had a great week of practice (probably the best since the beginning of camp) and put in a new defense. This year we have been strugling, in my 1o year carrer I have only lost a handful of games and two of those loses where this season. Its not that we don't have the talent, it is a mindset problem. Enough said, it is time to stop being selfish and start winning and winning big. A first shutout this year would be great as long as we understand as a team that we are supposed to shutdown these kids from london and all the other teams in our conference. Therefore no reason to celebrate if we do because it will be business as usual. Its not how you start a season its how you finish it that is important. Lets start playing like the champions that we are!

47 inch muskellunge

The Maskinongé, also known as Muskellunge or Musky is one of the hardest fish to catch and is mainly caught for sport. They live for about 30 years, therefore the one I caught was probably as old as me .They are literally monsters of the shallow waters. What impressed me the most is how close from a beach bloated with people I captured my biggest fish ever. The beast was 47 inches long, had a 20 inch belly and weighed approximately 25 pounds. Some people fish for weeks before landing a fish this size. The fight was great, trying to get loose the fish jumped completely out of the water and swam away after a few minutes it got tired and diminished its aggressiveness. I won, kissed it goodbye and let it swim away.

GONE FISHIN'

This weekend I headed out north with my brother and father along with a few other guys, Jim, Carlos, Bugsy and Dave. We really didn't miss our shot this time, we caught about 12 northern pikes, vicious cold water predators, one really bent a leader with its mouth. We only kept two of them and released the rest. I think I speak for all of us when I say we really had a good time and because of all the wind there was practically no bugs.
Mateo made quite a shopping list and we had enough food to feed all the fish in that lake and still have some left for us. We got some cold cuts and various meats in 5 or 6 different shops or markets around town. We drank unbeleivable quantities of beer woke un at 5 in the morning and took tons of pictures to immortalize this annual get together.

NOTE TO SELF: NEVER KEEP CATFISH THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN!

Tired of spygate?

Am I the only one tired of hearing about the spygate scandal? First of all to eliminate the fact that I might be biased, I'm telling you I’m 21 years old and I’m a NEW YORK GIANTS fan since Super bowl XXI or to be more realistic Super bowl XXXV! I have been playing football for the last 10 years therefore I think I know a little bit about the sport. Who cares if there were tapes of the walkthroughs and a few signals? Football is played on the field and usually the best team wins, the players with the best athletic abilities and the best football flair make plays in critical situations no matter what! In the game of football there is controllable factors such as the way you train, the way you practice, your mental toughness, the way the team plays as a team, aggressiveness, composure etc. and incontrollable factors such as weather, refs and all that other bullshit you can't do anything about and you got to live with. And personally, if I’m in the huddle and understand the signal or what the next play will be or if the other teams game plan is too predictable, ill immediately transfer the info to my teammates is that cheating? I agree that the fines didn't mean anything but the first round draft pick they lost, now that is plenty of punishment. They should of leave it at that. Matt Walsh is a trouble maker and is crying for attention, he has no evidence that could punish the patriots more than the draft pick they already lost! Like senator Ted Kennedy said: "With the war in Iraq raging on, gasoline prices closing in on $4 a gallon, and Americans losing their homes at record rates to foreclosure, the United States Senate should be focusing on the real problems that Americans are struggling with." And not with this ridiculous spygate scandal or at least on steroid situations this is the real problem in sports nowadays but nobody really cares. What an example for kids, but don't get me started on that matter. To get more information about the spygate scandal please listen to South Park Episode 1205. Enough said! Lets move on!

Raise your feet !!!

Here is another way to do push-ups. Its easy just find some block, a small gate, a couch, a chair, anything and just raise your feet!!! In all forms of push-ups it will be essential not to block your elbows at the end of the extension phase of the movement, this will first of all give you a rest and will put useless pressure on your joints that may result in injury. Give it a try, this is still relatively simple!!!

Hill/Wall

Having trouble with the regular push-up? That's when your WILL will have to kick in!!! Try doing push-ups in a hill like on this picture or simply by leaning on a wall ! The most important aspect is simply to be straight at all times.

Push-ups/Push-press
